Stunning! 2 days trekking was amazing! We were the only ones sleeping at the top. Sunset and sunrise at the top only for us!!

The recommendation is to take a guide up. If you want to save that money, just go by yourself. The path is easy to find. For going up and down and some time on top we took 4,5-5 hours. We went early and had a very clear view for some minutes to see all the other volcanos and even the fuego smoking. I really did not like to see so much rubbish on the path and especially on top. Take the plastic you take up back down!!!

The Hike was challenging but definitely doable in under 4 hours. Be there before 6 as clouds will cover the incredible view from the summit after 10 am. Definitely worth the climb. Lots of chips bags and plastic bottles on the trail.

A fairly aggressive walk up, but if you have a clear day and catch an eruption on Santiguito, its definitely worth it.

Bear in mind that the hike is quite difficult, steep and can be muddy & slippery - especially the second part (after 3200). And the views from the top is hit or miss ;) Bit still - worth the effort!

Never thought I would rate a volcano but this was our worst volcano trip! The way up has not much to offer, it is not a scenic hike nor does it have any interesting flora and fauna. You mainly hike up for the view on top or the exercise. We went early but still had no view at all, it was all cloudy. All we saw was trash, garbage and plastic. Maybe the view compensates for all the trash on a good day, but we simply couldn’t ignore it and I wouldn’t come again.

3,772 m.n.m.p. - this is my record of the highest peak :) We entered there without the guide. It was hard but the views compensate it. Unfortunately there was no ceremony at the time.

A beautiful hike, definitely worth the it for the views! Took 2.5 hours up and nearly 3 hours down. It gets insanely muddy once the sun comes up, took quite a while to get down because of that. Recommend a hiking pole.
